Ride & Drive Smart

TR PTSA hosts this annual event during student lunches to promote safe driving and passenger awareness. Students and teachers are invited to visit the cafeteria and courtyard to explore interactive displays, try simulators, and pick up giveaways. This hands-on, educational experience helps students understand the importance of responsible driving in a fun and engaging way. Students are encouraged to pledge to never drive or ride with someone impaired, avoid distractions, always wear a seatbelt, and advocate for others to follow these safe practices. 

Event Highlights (from previous years):

• Safe driving simulators, crashed vehicles, and interactive displays

• Drunk, marijuana, and concussion goggles for awareness

• Activities, games, and giveaways from local organizations

• TR PTSA Safe Driving Pledge and survey with coupons for a free Whataburger

• Opportunities to learn from SAPD, University Health, MADD, Texas A&M, Teens in the Driver Seat, Union Pacific, and more
